Welcome to Angus Folk
Hello! Welcome to Angus Folk. Now that you have found us, we hope you might think of joining us! We are a community singing group, with a passion for local and traditional songs and singing in general. You will find us singing in Kirriemuir each Tuesday at 7.30pm in the small hall at the Glens and Kirriemuir Old Parish Church. Throughout the year we organise various singing workshops, outings and gatherings. We also perform by invitation, mainly in rural Angus and Dundee, and whatever we sing, we sing because we enjoy it.
We are privileged to be taught by some of Scotland’s foremost traditional and folk singers, so if you enjoy singing, why not come along and exercise your vocal chords (the first class is free!)? We are not a choir, just a group who enjoy singing and sharing our songs with others; you can be sure of a warm welcome! .
What can you expect from Angus Folk? Take a look around our website and see what we’ve been up to, what’s on and what’s coming up. Why not come along to one of our classes, workshops or events, or get in touch if you want to know more.
"When first we met, we were total strangers, we didn’t know if we could be friends,
But how soon we came to know each other, and now I know we will meet again."
